There wasn’t a camera in the original iPad which was a major criticism of the device. The iPad2 now offers two cameras, one in the front and one in the back. The cameras are not high quality which many make some users unhappy. These cameras are fine for taking the basic shot or chatting with friends on FaceTime, but they won’t take high quality photos or videos. Many won’t consider this a serious flaw since mobile phones have cameras and serious photographers will already have their own camera equipment.
How you plan to use an iPad is something that should be carefully considered before purchase to decide if it is worth the investment.
